Terms of Service

Effective: March 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SalonSync platform, including the mobile application, web application, and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using SalonSync, you agree to these Terms.

1. What SalonSync Is

SalonSync is a cloud-based salon management platform that provides appointment scheduling, client management, payment processing, team management, commission and payout tracking, online booking, and reporting tools for salons and independent stylists.

2. Account Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to use SalonSync.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• One salon per owner account. If you operate multiple locations, please contact us.

3. Acceptable Use

SalonSync is designed for legitimate salon and beauty business operations. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
• Attempt to access other users' data without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages

4. Subscription & Pricing

SalonSync offers two subscription tiers:

• Personal -- $30/month (1 stylist)
• Salon -- $80/month (unlimited stylists + advanced features)

Annual billing is available at a 20% discount ($24/month Personal, $64/month Salon). All new accounts start with a 14-day free trial.

Two-way SMS messaging is included in all paid tiers. Standard carrier rates may apply for message recipients.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

5. Payment Processing

Subscription payments and salon transaction processing are handled through Stripe. By using payment features, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

Salon transaction processing is charged at Stripe's standard rate of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. This is a pass-through cost -- SalonSync does not add any markup.

6. Stripe Connect

Salons using in-app payment processing connect their own Stripe account through Stripe Connect (Express). SalonSync facilitates the connection but does not hold or control your funds. Payouts go directly from Stripe to your connected bank account on Stripe's standard payout schedule.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
• After cancellation, you retain access through the end of your current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
• Your data remains available for export for 30 days after your subscription ends, after which it will be permanently deleted.

8. Data Ownership

Your data belongs to you. SalonSync is a data processor, not a data owner. Specifically:

• Salon owners own their salon's business data (services, products, clients, appointment history, settings, reports).
• Stylists own their client relationships and data. Booth renters can export their full client book — contacts, visit history, color formulas, and notes — at any time.
• SalonSync will not access, use, or share your business data except as needed to operate the Service.
• You can export your complete data at any time during your subscription — no export fees, no waiting periods, no penalties.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as-is" and "as-available." We do our best to keep SalonSync reliable, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or that the Service will be error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• SalonSync is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• SalonSync is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party can terminate this agreement at any time. You can cancel your subscription from your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practical.

After termination, your data remains available for export for 30 days. After that period, your data will be permanently deleted.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If a dispute arises:

• We will first try to resolve it through good faith negotiation.
• If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, it will be settled through binding arbitration.
• You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
